WANTED!

Would you like to represent your community on matters relating to the Airport?
Are you able to attend quarterly meetings from 4.30pm on weekdays?
Are you willing to provide your contact details for the Committee’s website and the local media?

If you can answer YES to the questions above, you may be interested in applying to become a community representative on the London City Airport Consultative Committee.

We are seeking one representative from each of the following areas

North Woolwich
Silvertown
West Silvertown
Custom House & Canning Town
South Beckton

Representatives must:

Have lived in the area they wish to represent for at least 12 months.
Be aged 18 years of age or over
Be able to demonstrate, perhaps through membership of a tenants’ and residents’ association or local community group, that they have the means to collect views, information and enquiries from members of the community in their particular area, and to disseminate information back to the community from the Committee’s meetings, consultations and airport updates.

The LCACC is a consultative body with a membership representing local communities, local and public authorities, the airport and airport users. It is not a decision making body but an organised forum to inform the diverse range of stakeholders of current issues relating to London City Airport and the aviation industry and seek feedback.

If we receive more than one applicant for each area there is a selection process. Where applicants are equally qualified the respresentative will be chosen by drawing lots.

Representatives are sought for a three year term and will be selected by a panel of Committee members according to the criteria listed above.
